i got this idea from an issue of readymade....gave me something to do while waiting at the walk in clinic (ugh). didn't take too long, and i think the pilowcases turned out pretty well. they are the slipcover type, so you just stuff the pillows in the back slit. yay-easy cleaning. my friend already begged me to make her a cassette one. for the size of the squares, i used a measureing tape to measure two ugly throw pillows i had. they were 18", so to allow for seam allowance i cut the squares 19". actually, for each pillowcase there was only one square, and two rectangles for the back. i used a 5 thread serger to do the edges, which simultaneously overlocks the edges and stitches along the edge of the overlocking. i used a normal lockstich machine to do the back seams.
here are some pictures!

I LOVE THEM!
i feel like a doofus for never having thought of making slip covers for my dinky throw pillows...
These are so great, your embroidery is awesome!

one question> how did you do the stripes on the headphones? my embroidering never goes beyond simple stitches, and they look complicated!

Great job!

thanks so much! for the stripes, i just did a loooong stich that spanned the length of the headphone, then went back over horizontally in a few places on each stripe to stabalize the individual stripes....i hope that makes sense...
thanks again!
