hi everyone!  i have been working like mad on my website the past couple of weeks, and am glad to finally have it up.  it's definitely still a work in progress, but i wanted to get some input before i do too much more.  i'm hoping to eventually sell directly from my website.  all in due time, i guess.
so....any thoughts?  and don't worry, i'm not afraid of criticism, as long as it's constructive. Wink

thanks in advance!  Smiley

I think it looks very nice as I understand its a work ongoing. Your title tho, The Clever Kitty the Kitty comes down off the border and covers the link to etsy as well as the writing on there. Id fix that so people will know to go to Etsy until you get fully set up!

that's strange...it shows up fine on my computer.   Huh  so just the text is down too low?  but the pink & green strip across the top is fine?

On the main page the text it as so:

The (on and centered on green heading)
Clever (just touching the bottom of the border)
Kitty (centered over your etsy link)

On all the other pages The Clever are centered on the border but kitty is under The on your actual page.

Could just be my browser maybe some others could help by looking at it!

Its fine on my computer. The website is pretty good, but the picture in the left top corner just looks like it's pasted there.... i dunno, maybe make the website a little more personalized. Right now it kind of looks like a premade page, which it might be, but possibly try to make it more yours. Sorry to be so rude, but i still like it!

i fixed the home page last night, but i didn't have time to fix the other pages yet.

dylan, i'm not exactly sure what you mean...do you have any suggestions as to what to do to make not look like it's just pasted there?  it's not a premade page.  i did make a template myself, and used it for all of the pages so it would be consistent.  i guess it could use more peronal touches.  and don't worry, i asked for input, not just niceties.

on another note, i really need to come up with a tagline, but i'm having a complete mental block.  feel free to throw out some suggestions if you have any.   Wink

thanks everyone!

I would increase your prices at least $2 per on everything, first off.

On your non-etsy shop the design seems to take over in importance rather than the product.  I would also use a percentage rather than a size for your pages because the products go right off the screen.

There's virtually no content (text) on your site. As far as search engines go, your site is just a big old picture-posting site, and they don't like those. Descriptive content is important, on every page.

I would also make link text separate rather than making the alternating pic/text buttons as you've done. That would also help with the content problem., When I move my cursor over a pic, I don't like it to "do" stuff like that.

craftychef, thanks for your insight.  i'm pretty new to web design, so forgive me if i seem ignorant, but how would i use a percentage rather than a size for the pages?  i guess i still have a lot to learn.  good point about the text/content.  i will definitely try to add more.

hehe...just my inner kool moe dee coming out.   Wink

anyhow, i have recently revamped most of my website, and i was hoping that some of you lovely craftsters could give me some honest input.  here's the link:

www.thecleverkitty. com

how is the overall look & layout of the site?  is it easy to navigate?  does it seem like there is any info missing?  how do you feel about the linking to etsy for purchasing?

also, if anyone has any input about any of my products and/or pricing, i'm all ears.   Smiley

thanks in advance!
