So, I was commissioned over Christmas to create a custom sleeve as a gift, and I'm finally getting around to posting it. Funny how I made it instead of studying for my finals. le sigh. (I passed, though!)

anyway, I'm really pleased with it. It's a brown twill exterior, cotton quilted batting black interior, with dark brown vinyl trim on the outside, with a silscreened vespa & "vroom vroom" stamped, to top it all off.

I was very pleased with how it turned out! What do you think?

Did you have any trouble silk screening on vinyl?  How did you set it (would ironing the back work on something that thick?)

I love it and I love the idea of silk screening images onto vinyl as decals!

By the way, I never liked your face.

That's amazing!

I know a lot of friends who would love one of those.

Is there any chance of you ever posting a tutorial on how to make one?

thanks so much everyone!

screening on vinyl is easier than you think. just don't use fabric ink. use acrylic ink, and you're all set- you won't have to heat-set anything. I drew it on my screen with screenfiller, basically (carefully), w/ inspiration from a photograph thanks to google photos.

when I make my next sleeve, I'll maybe take some pics along the way... not too much time for it right now, as it's one of the projects that takes me the longest.

thanks for your positive comments! I think I'm going to make some more like this for sale on my site, as I've gotten such encouragement about it, despite that fact that it was a specific commission!

It's awesome, Jas!
I love it!
The colours are awesome....
Anything that says vroom vroom is good in my books.
