A gal after my own heart!
I found 12 small cigar tins at the thrift store last week. They are 4" x 4" square.

Um, I also sort of have a collection of dishwasher metal tins (the Jetsons) which I have painted black to start storing my PrismaColors in.

And about 40 of these (http://www.adagio.com/) (the small metal tins) that I got at a craft supply swap last year.

And a few others...
I am addicted to tins.

I didn't recognize your new avatar! Very funky.
Welcome aboard, CHEAP THRILLS!

Thanks! I'm excited, you guys are so talented!  Smiley

What a fun group we've got here!!

Do you think a gal could do a pop-up altoid tin? I'm puzzling out this theory and could use some help.

i think thats quite possible! Maybe something to do with a sting that pulls something up when the lid opens? I don't see how springs would work, because things would get smashed...maybe I'll look into this!

Curses!  You got me.  The arm-twisting worked.   Wink

I got all caught up on Uncon Feb stuff, and I have a spare Altoid tin, and the idea of tiny things filling a tiny box is just too wonderful to resist.

*sigh*  So much for my "no more swaps for a while" thing, eh!   Cheesy

Hello, fellow pack rat!! I can't picture the dishwasher tins. I just opened a package from Oriental Trading Co, and lo-and-behold I had ordered more tins. This time they are the round ones with the glass lids. Help me! I need tins-anonymous!

Racky - mission accomplished! We got Writer78 to join us, and it only took 2 arm-twists!  Grin

I was thinking along the lines of a pop-up book. When you open the tin a whole 3-D scene pops up. I think I may be setting the bar too high for myself, after all, I'm not sweets4ever......Bu t, a gal can dream, eh?  Grin

Welcome aboard! There are a lot of seasoned crafters and lots of newbies, too.
