I really want to make this skirt! Does anyone have any ideas on how to make it? Im sorry I dont have the pic but here is the URL for it. Any sugestions or tips would be great!

Totally easy --

The top part is a band of primary fabric fitted to your waist and hip bone area -- either use darts or use four pieces for fitting.

The next part is ruching (pleated or gathered fabric), then more primary fabric with a ribbon sewn on it, then more ruching.

The final part is gathered primary fabric.

Make a little pocket with a velvet ribbon.

Thank you so much I really couldnt tell it the ruching was ruching or not so you second opinion really helped.  I cant wait to start!

The skirt is only $17 -- wouldn't it be cheaper to buy the skirt than make it?

I think it's a totally cute skirt also!
