Um how about everybody get their recipes ready before the send out date then send them electronically to everybody participating. Then everyone would be responsible for printing off the recipe cards and sticking them in the recipe box they decorated and sending it off to their swap partner. That way everyone will recieve a full box of recipes.

good idea too...

i don't know...is anyone else completely lost about this swap right now? Because i most definitely am!

How many people have signed up for the swap?  This may be a moot point depending on how many people have actually signed up for this swap ;o)

I think that sending will be pretty cheap even to overseas.  It will basically just come down to how many you have to calculate based on.

Thanks,
Whit

Best idea I've heard Smiley

I definitely have no interest in sending overseas (no offense to anyone, because honestly I would LOVE to have an overseas partner) but one time (the only time) I did overseas I had someone in Sweden it cost me $20 to ship her package. I most definitely cannot afford that especially right now...

Are we going to have a standard format that everyone will be printing from?  I think that this might cause some problems.  For instance if you design in Publisher and others don't have a MS Office program they will not be able to print it.  Are we going to have to save them in a particular format for this to work?

Yay! I saved the day Smiley I'm good for something sometimes Tongue

I know that Im going to be saving mine on word. Different formats and stuff does pose another problem... Maybe, like if someone doesnt have that particular program or something, they can ask someone else to convert it into one that they do have. I know I dont have publisher so that would be some what of a problem for me. I'll volunteer to convert recipes for people into microsoft word. Smiley You could just send it to me in like a notepad or something and I'll change it

...and if we want to hand write the stack of recipies for our partners is that okay? i'm not trying to be difficult, i was wondering b/c i was planning on doing some water colouring... then i could make the recepies into one big matching set... and then they would be on a much heavier paper as well - i got blank 3x5 recepie cards.  (and both my printers are out of colour inks!!)

and when we go to post them, the program that i have for typing stuff up is appleworks - but that allows me to save in word for windows - would that a good format to save them in for everybody?? - i should be able to covert word doucments, if appleworks can save them that way, so that i can view them to prepare them for my partner...
