Grumperina's pattern in the new MagKnits: Odessa

I love this cute little hat.  I cast on already with the recommended Cashsoft DK in color "Thunder" -- had it in the stash.  I'm doing it all on US5 DPNS, because that's what I have, and I wanted to get started.

Sadly, my cute little beads are too small to fit on the hat, but I have an idea for embellishment.

Anyone else interested?

I'm very interested! However, I don't have the yarn or the beads. I just printed the pattern though. It may be a little bit before I can start, because I'll probably have to order the yarn.

I love it!  I'll join as soon as I finish some of the other projects I have going right now.  This is definitely something I will make in the not-too-distant future.

I'm wondering if it would work in Noro or some other kind of self-striping yarn.  I really want mine to have multiple colors.

I cast on yesterday as well and I am about 4 inches in.
I am using Rowan Felted Tweed in some mauvy color I can't find the name of and no beads.

I just started this hat!  I'm using Rowan Cashsoft DK in a cream color, with cream beads.  I wanted it to be very subtle.  I'm loving this pattern so far!  Looking forward to seeing more of them.

I'm about 4" in.  I did all this while watching The Simpsons, King of the Hill, Seinfeld, American Idol, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Fargo.

Hopefully I'll have a finished hat soon.

I just ordered the yarn and some beads from eBay. As soon as I saw it, I thought "Bingo! There's the spring-but-still-cold-out hat I've been longing for!" I'm planning to match the pattern model pretty closely (same yarn, even chose the same color). All the rest of my current/upcoming projects are sweater-size, so I'm looking forward to Odessa providing some instant gratification to keep me from going mad amidst the yards and yards of stockinette. Can't wait to start getting the components in the mail so I can get started.

Your Odessa looks great, baast! Whoever receives it should count herself lucky. Like you, I am a pretty round-headed girl, so if mine ends up emphasizing my melon head, I already have a potential giftee in mind...
