Odessa (Grumperina for MagKnits) KAL

these are all gorgeous! i love seeing all of the different yarn/bead color combinations.

i casted on my odessa and finished the ribbing sometime in the summer, and then got bored with it. i picked it up about a week ago, and now i've got about 3.5 inches done. i'm using cascade 220 superwash in color #851 that i got on the cheap. i'm making it without beads, because i couldn't wait long enough to get to the bead store before i started! haha.

i've got pics of my WIP but i apparently left my camera cord in my dorm room (home for the weekend)!

I'm working on my odessa and the cable part isnt' popping. I'm not near my camera so i can't take a picture but does any one have any idea as to why this is happening? I've done cable work before and am doing the ssk, and yo right....I'm kind of stuck.

When I was knitting this in the presence of my friend, she said, "It's like cabling without a cable needle, right?" and I had no idea what she was talking about...

the part that pops out will pop out after a few rows, don't worry if it doesn't right away.

here is my odessa in progress:) i'm knitting it for my sister, and i love this yarn. of course, it is all acrylic, but it has beautiful sheen and knits up so nicely..

i left out 2 pattern repeats since my gauge was 24st/4", and i decided to make it without beads. and i'm posting this to make sure i'll finish it once:D

why are my yo's are making such noticible holes? Will they go away as the pattern continues?

They did for me.... the swirl pattern kind of swallows them up....
