My mini-me is a voodoo doll. She's made out of muslin, and then stuffed with the spare bits. Her clothes and hair are scraps of wool rug yarn I had laying around. She's rough around the edges and earthy, like me. Also, she has sexy glasses, like all the cool kids do.

Here's the doll. She's got child bearing hips, like me!

Annoyance-specific pins. From left to right: heart, computer mouse, car, art, music, democrat donkey, republican elephant, and my cat (he's a bastard). I made them look old by overcooking the Sculpty clay. About 10 extra minutes or until they smell.

Actionshots!

The voodoo doll itself was TOO cute, but the special annoyance pins made me laugh out loud.  I know what I'm making for my friends next...

Wonderful idea.  Accessories always add to any dolls value and voodoo dolls can't be beat.

This doll is fantastic and your post just cracked me up! I particularly love "my cat (he's a bastard)." And the directions: "or until they smell." Thanks for brightening my morning!

This...is...PERFECT!  I cannot believe how wonderful this is.  I am in awe.

(Having just burned clay yesterday, the "until they smell" really amused me, too!LOL)

Very cool, umbrellamaker, and very creative.

Just a small warning about overbaking the polymer clay though... it's actually dangerous to bake any polymer clay over 385 degrees because the smoke and fumes it puts out are then toxic to the lungs (even more so to children and small animals).
Before polymer gets to that actual burning stage, it will begin to darken and then to bubble and turn black, but the Sculpey clays will darken much more quickly than the other brands like Premo or Fimo even at normal baking temps (...so if you're not exceeding about 300 degrees with your Sculpey, that should be fine healthwise).

There are other ways you could make your clay items look old though, and those can be fun.
You can begin with a darker color clay (or you can color the plain white Sculpey if that's all you have... oil paints and small amts. of acrylic paints are okay, as well as alcohol inks and various pigments).  And you can do things to the darker clays (or any color) which will age them or make them look really distressed and old.
Check out this page for some of those ways:
http://www.glassattic.com/polymer/Faux--many.htm
(...click particularly on the subcategory called "Aged Looks & Antiquing")....

P.S.  There are normal "smells" associated with baking polymer clays which aren't the same as the toxic horrible smells though.

P.P.S.  And here's a page on baking polymer clays for anyone who wants to avoid overbaking and/or darkening:
http://www.glassattic.com/polymer/baking.htm

Speaking of:)  :

It's not the hoodie I want, but I drew it on a t-shirt using fabric ink pens. I doesn't much look like Bill O'Reilly, but generic angry man works too!
