Details of swap:

+ In this swap, you will make a mixed CD full of Bluesy tunes and Jazzy influences. You can include whatever songs you please, as long as they fit into the genre of Blues or Jazz*.

+ You will be put into a group of three. This means that you will be sending to (and recieving from) two people. If not enough people sign up, you may have to send to more people.

+ You should decorate the cover of the CD.

+ The CD itself should have at least 18 songs.

+ When you sign up, you must be willing to send to other countries. You must. CDs aren't that expensive to send, especially if you use the thin jewel cases.

+ If you live in the USA and are sending to someone else in the USA, you should obtain a DC#, and let me & your partners know what it is when you send. If you don't live in the USA and/or are sending overseas, and there's no affordable form of tracking, keep your receipt as proof in case it gets lost.

+ I will be checking in on you on or around the 19th of Feb. Please do not send before this. When you're ready to send, PM me for the OK.

+ When you sign up & are approved, please post a message in the thread so that I know you'll be getting the updates etc.

*I say Jazz & Blues, but really, it's such a wide genre (there are SO many forms of jazz!) that soul, gospel, et cetera, would be OK too. Just not R&B. I know it's the modern day equivelant, but please. It's just not the same.

I would love to do this swap.  Recently, my harddrive crashed and I lost all my music, though.  I've re-added most of it, but now I'm trying to figure out if I have 18 good songs to send.  I mean, I have 18 songs in the genre, but they're mostly from the same artists, and I'd like a lot of variety.  So I'll work on that, and hopefully I can join.

Oh, I hope you can join. If it doesn't quite come to 18 don't worry - I just made up a number (after staring at my Sarah Vaughan CDs  ) as a guideline so that you wouldn't send a CD with 24 songs and recieve one with just 10.

I was so excited to get going on this swap that I have started to compile my list.  This is certainly getting me back in touch with some of my favorites. 

I haven't listened to my songs in awhile, because I have been insane about my Sirius radio I got at Christmas.  This was def. the perfect swap for me!
