Is anyone else getting depressed by all these valentine posts?? I recently broke up with my boyfriend because i moved across country and didn't want to deal with the hassle of a long distance relationship. Boo all you happy couples...lol just kidding... Wink

why don't ya get involved in the "single" gifts or ones for those who are doing gifts for friends? Remember, friends last a heck of a lot longer - show em you care, I'm sure they'll appreciate it Smiley have fun!

Yeah, these romantic holidays are tough. I've been single about a year after a 3 year relationship, and I just moved, too,  so no new honey yet. I do have a *crush*, which is fun. I plan to treat myself to something pretty on the big day! Just cause I'm single doesn't mean I have lost faith in love, and it CERTAINLY doesn't mean I don't deserve some pretty jewelry!  Wink

ahh being single...sucks when you are, but can also suck when you aren't. i mean you dont have to deal with what to get the guy, and if he'll like it, or if it'll be too much, etc, etc... i say go out with friends and have a damn good time!  Grin

Whilst I am currently in a relationship, I 10000% agree with this! Cheesy

I've done it in the past and Whoo!, it certainly did bring my spirits up. ^^

When I was single, I would just get together with all my single friends on Valentines Day.  The Valentines before I got with my current boyfriend, my bestfriend was single too. So...we got some chocolate covered strawberries (yum!), rented some movies and just vegged out. It was a lot of fun!!

thats funny...yea you guys are right...i'm sure i will just go out with friends. i don't know.. i never really liked valentnes day even when i had someone. theres too much pressure and importance put on the one day of the year. i feel that if you're in a relationship, shouldn't every day be like valentines day? lol wishful thinking i know...in the past if i wasn't going out with someone at the time, me and my best guy friend would be each others valentines..it was so relaxed. he would always get me roses and i would buy him a bunch of cheap weird dodads..good times.

I say don't feel to bad about it, it's just a holiday made up by greeting card companys anyway.  I say use it as a day to celebrate your love for yourself and your friends, I'm going to my best friend's station (she's an EMT) and spending it with her.  Don't dwell too much on it.
