OK, I have to comment on the Knit Care (by Fairfiled) ads that are in every knit magazine...there is just something not right about them.  See page 31 of the Winter Vogue Knitting to refresh your memory.  There are always three young ladies in knitted bathing suits and although that sounds ok, they always creep me out. And this feeling goes further than disgust at the saggy knit bathing suit crotches, they disturb me.

Am I alone in this?

HA!  you are NOT alone.  There is NOTHING about those ads that would entice me to use the products...  icky knit bathing suits...  random products that have little/nothing to do with the actual bathing suits...  yikes

NO you are not alone. Those adds bug the heck outta me. Every time I see them I get caught up thinking about just how uncomfortable and impracticle they look and sound. Have you ever stepped into a puddle with your socks? Imagine that all over your body ... *shudder*  Undecided

Definitely not alone. Everytime I see one of those ads, something dies inside me. lol. They're very creepy. Who the heck would actually wear that? When it gets wet.... hello public indecency. And you're totally right about the socks, Nymeria. That feeling, all over your body? Yuckiness.

Umm, I'm going out on a limb here but those ads, of the curvy girl, aren't designed for you. I think they're trying to catch the attention of guys who are scanning the pages. Yes I looked but the waist is so blown out and floppy, maybe they should have measured her hips a little better.

JEEZ, I noticed the hips first of course, but then I noticed the crappy fit of the suit? Damn you knitting and your addictive ways. I know what you're talking about and I don't even have the magazine in front of me. Sad

Oh gosh, the first time I saw that ad I placed a post-it note over them.

Can anyone post a link? I've heard from several different sources that these ads are really bad.

The bathing suit (shudder) from the latest ad is available as a FREE downloadable pattern here.

Somehow the url for the main site had burned itself into my brain.  I think I was trying to figure out who/what/why and it seeped in while I was averting my eyes from the fug.

Excuse me while i go scrub out my eyes.

Oh, Poor Becky...
But, wait..it says it's a "balting suit". maybe "balting" requires saggy knit bikinis...

Or what about the ads with the nearly naked women in them? I'm no prude, but nudity isn't really going to make me attracted to their yarn. Maybe that's more advertising for the male knitters...
Then there's this guy.
