Help please !  Huh

i recently bought some 'fold over clamps' for finishing the ends of cord/thong to hang a pendant on.  i am having trouble actually folding the sides of the clamps over the cord and i am wondering if there is a special tool/pair of pliers/crimps for doing this?
or how does anyone else do it?

the clamps look like this, one is a side view and i have put the end of my cord in the other one and not attempted to do any folding, but the sides should fold over the cord:

I've used needle nose pliers. The tabs do not fold over each other. I think... your thinking they do. You pinch the tabs together.
