Are there are any other Jazz/Blues nuts out there?

The Blues being such an important period in music history, there are hundreds of artists and loads of styles which came from the Blues.

And so, I thought it would be fun to have a mixed CD swap with Jazz and Blues music on it - you might discover a new singer or musician you love (I only found the amazing Ella Fitzgerald when I was going through an old set of drawers in my house, and found an old CD), or realise that you're partial to a style of jazz, or Blues influence (jazz, soul, gospel, Elvis - who was just a cleaned-up White version of the blues - etc.)

I think it would be cool if you made 2 copies of the same CD, and had 2 swap partners. You'd send and recieve 2 compilations. And the Blues being such a huge genre, the chances of recieving the same song - or same recording or a song - would be pretty slim.

I hope there are takers for this!

I'm definitely interested.  I like the idea of making two copies, because you'd get twice the music for half the effort--kinda.  Haha, anyway, I'd do it, and I hope there are other people out there who are as well.  I read somewhere, that less than 10 percent of Americans appreciate jazz.  I have no idea how the ratings are in other countries, though, but hopefully Crafster is diverse enough for a few people to enjoy jazz and the blues.

End of Feb sounds OK - though it is minimal effort. They should take 1/2 hour at the most to make, and you can surf Craftster at the same time!

Thanks for the interest - I really hope we get more people! I'm not even American - British-born half-chinese/half European!  And I'm dying for new CDs! krajackex - I don't know about those figures, but nearly every time I mention my love for jazz, I'm laughed at!

Anyway, if there's no one else, we can do a tiny swap, LOL.

Yay tiny swap! We'd all still get two CD's so it dosn't really matter how many people we have! Could we do it earlier in Feb? The last week of February is the week before spring break at my university, and I don't know if I'll have time to get to the post office. Either way, I'll make it work.
