So I was tooling around, trying to make purses the other day, and here's my second attempt at making a purse.....in the shape of a cupcake. I know it doesn't have a strap or zipper or even a liner for that matter...but it's super-cute.

I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out, so I didn't really bother to try and put any kind of liner in it...but I loveloveLOVE it,

SO my question is; Do you guys think I could add a liner in somehow, with out taking it all apart?

Sure. Cant you just make the liner and do the inside out, leave a hole, thing and sew it around the top edge, and then pull it through?

It is cute btw Smiley

that's just toooo cute for words.

My instinct for the lack-of-liner is to make up a liner and either sew it up with a hole, turn it and the bag inside out & sew together, or sew the whole thing up, and oversew the bag & liner together. It probably sounds much harder than it's going to be.

seriously now... how did you make that? And can I steal your idea?

If I can get the liner to look good, then I'll sell it in my Etsy store.

I kinda made it with some trial and error...I took two felt sheets and basically folded them both in half.

I shaped the pink top half into what I thought a cupcake to look like, and tried to cut the white bottom into a curve. Then sewed everything together. I hot-glued the face and brown lines on the bottom and the cherry.

I don't know if that would help at all. Like I said, I wasn't sure if it was going to turn out right at all.

that's adorable. I'd definately make a liner. if it was mine, I'd add two straps & make it into a backpack (depending on how big it is). It reminds me of something those cute little Japanese girls run around wearing, like in the magazine & book Fruits.
