i finished Meg, I am working on Jack. Trying to figure out hair (of course)

I have found a hair solutions...make a hairpeice, or several like little "felties" and then hand sew them on.  I had to make so feathered hair for an andy gibb monkey and it worked very well, the pics don't do the hair justice.  The facial hair should be fun, though!

oh my gosh, that chest hair is great!!! i'm not sure i understand your hair technique, though. did you do it out of felt(just a guess, since you called them felties)? i've been trying to do it out of just one piece of felt, but maybe cutting several pieces and layering them would be better - is that what you mean? sorry. thinking as i type, and wondering if it would work!

I had one large back piece and then 2 panels that were the "feathered" parts.  I just stiched the shape i needed onto a folded piece of felt, and used some fiber fill to pad it a little.  You can make highlight/contours by handsewing some embroidery thread on.

Good luck!

I either need glasses or sleep (my guess is the latter!).

In one of the replies, I read "Sock Monkey" as "Spock Monkey" ... so that's my suggestion!

Ah man! This post has inspired me to make a sock monkey for a friend. I was trying to think of an awesome get well soon gift and I think this is right up his alley! Roll Eyes
