yeah!  i'm so glad to hear of everyone's progress with this.  i felt weird updating immediately after my last post...so i just obsessively checked this topic on a daily basis. Tongue

i can't believe how much easier this pattern was than i expected.  the lace knit was more challenging than what i am used to, but because of it, i have been single-mindedly dedicated to knitting this thing.  i'm already over half way done...and i only messed up the pattern once -- on the back, and not badly, so i didn't bother fixing it.  ha!  hopefully my camera will work tomorrow and then i can post some update photos for everybody.

loisgriffinwannabe, yours looks amazing.  are you using a different lace stitch than the horseshoe lace in the original pattern?

the only thing i'm not looking forward to is weaving in the ends...i wish i could just leave them all hanging. Shocked Wink

dialectic material, you are too hilarious.... I am the same way when I post a topic  Wink

nope, its just that I didn't follow the direction to place extra markers and knit the lace pattern properly (When you have increased enough times so that the stitches in queue equal another repeat of the stitch pattern, remove the extra markers and knit the sts in lace pattern. Repeat this cycle.) So its all over the place!  Roll Eyes But I like it anyhow. Do you have any pics of yours?

i have started and frogged this top 3, count em', 3 times.  i've started it yet again, without the lace on the sleeves (cause it had a weird not happy scale appearance even after blocking), but i think it's a lost cause.  i hate the neck.  it's not a mandarin collar and it's not doing anything remotely close to a v neck and i just feel retarded in it.  i really want to make it work out cause i love the picture of the finished project.  *le sigh*

well, it was late so i ripped it out this afternoon and started again. i'm only just starting the lace right now, but i feel like i can get a lot done tonight.

it's so gorgeous.
i'm knitting in a soft yellow baby yarn (softest yarn everrrrrrr)

After frogging my six inches of mis-aligned, unblockable lace, buying eight balls of Reynolds Saucy in this awesome sagey, olivetastic color, and having said balls sit in my stash for three months or so--

I started this baby again, yee-haw! I'm three-ish inches into the lace, which I am now doing properly and it is SYMMETRICAL! YES! Pictures to come when my progress is impressive enough.
