This is painting I made last year with water-based oils.

I have more paintings in the artwork section of my website at:  http://www.nathanlovesmary.com/artwork.asp

Those are so freaking beautiful.  I am so jealous of your talent.  I long to paint figures especially faces.  And yours are so detailed.

I love your work.  "Chair and Window" especially, and your self-portrait.  And "Chain Link".  And "Window" reminds me very strongly of Edward Hopper's interiors.  Do you sell your pieces?

Thank you for the kind words!  I do sell my work on occasion.  I usually show once a year or so and that helps.  My paintings are usually fairly large, so that makes it a bit more difficult to get them out and around but I try!  Actually, I started Nathan loves Mary. just to pay for my studio space, but now the company takes up a great deal of my painting time.  Aah, the struggle!

I love Hopper and Diebenkorn has some fabulous interiors as well.

Well, I hope you'll let me -- and everyone else here -- know when you have your next show!  And if you ever decide to clear up a little studio space by selling off some pieces between shows, I'd be interested in possibly helping you out.

That's a great painting . . . The first thing that pops into my mind is honesty.  It is an honest work.  Every brush stroke brings out the true nature of the subject.  Absolutely marvelous.

Where the H do you get water based oils . . .  Smiley
