I bought SnBN some time ago with the sole purpose of knitting the Cabled Newsboy Cap. I got some 100% cotton yarn and went to it....and I finished it in no time at all! Seriously, this is a fantastic knit! Instant gratification and no boredom with repetitiveness.

Once I finished it (in only three days), I wanted to make another version of it in dark red.  It was just so much fun to knit! So, I got some cheap Simply Soft and went to it. I finished this hat in only ONE DAY! (It helped that I was home sick from work...Sad )

As you can see, I really just took the cables out. Cables are kind of fancy to me, so I wanted one of these that was more "every day." That's the only change, really. I absolutely love both of my hats!

It's really a very EASY project! I was shocked at how quick it knit up, too!

Your hats look fantastic!  The piercings are hott too!  I think I'm going to buy me some acrylic and do my hats in that too.  Right now I'm using wool, but I love the look and sturdiness of acrylic for some hats.

Hey Danyell,

My cabled version is finally coming along nicely, thanks to you and another dear friend.  Of course, I want to make one without cables to.  How did you do yours?  Did you just totally omit the cables, and k6?

I like the red one the best ... but maybe that's because mine's red, too. Both of yours are very sexylicious.
