I lost a mitten! My first project other than a scarf, a pair of knitted wool mittens, and I LOST one of them!!! I was so proud of them, I feel like I've lost a part of me *sniff*

I'm still looking around for the mitt, should I re-knit it? Has anyone else everr lost a knitted item that they were proud of? What did you do?

Oh no!
I'd hold out hope that it will re-appear.   Lips sealed

i knitted mittens for my then-boyfriend, now-husband and he promptly went out and lost one of the mittens.  I knitted him a new mitten, but as we were living far apart at the time I couldn't use the other on as a guide and needless to say - I screwed it up.  Big time.  I had to frog the entire mitt and reknit it.

The new mitten was given to him as soon as it was finished with a new addition this time - an idiot string.  Smiley

I hope you find your mitten and don't have to go to the trouble of knitting a new one.  I lost both my mitts last week on the bus and I have yet to call their lost & found.  Instead I just used it as an excuse to buy new yarn. Wink

I'd knit another pair - then I'd have a spare!

amazingly, I haven't lost any of my knitted things, but I've gone for several days thinking that I have. it's really upsetting.
