Getting rid of piercing scars?

Is there any way to get rid of piercing scars? I pierced my bellybutton when I was 16, and it was a HUGE hassel for me. Long story short, the hole never fully healed, I took the barbell out, and now I'm left with a little whole right above my bellybutton. I'm so embarrased about it, I can't wear a bikini!

Does anyone know of ANY way to get rid of this hole? Surgeries or anything? Thanks in advance!

surgery isnt an option, because it could only make an even bigger scar..
as for the hole, ive had many piercings (on my face also) and when you take them out they either dissappear or you just see a small dent, asif you could still put the ring or whatnot through.
its a fact of life, if you get pierced be prepared to live with the scars!
but then again it isnt much of a scar... its a hole, and applying any scar healing creams shouldnt work, but you could always try!

I know what you're talking about. I had my eyebrow professional pierced and had jewelery in it for about 6 years. Now that I don't wear it anymore, there is a small dark depression at the bottom hole. There's not much you can do for it really. I know that applying coco butter to mine help alleviate the darkness and smoothed it a bit around the edges. Depending on how old the scar is, you can try Mederma (sp?) and that might help. Maybe you could try a concealer stick if all else fails.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I will try cocoa butter--the hole does seem to be a little dark. But...I guess I'll just have to live with it...*sigh*
