For my hubby's graduation from college, I decided that a store bought card was just too lame...He's gone to four different colleges and finally found the major he's most interested in (industrial design {aka product design}, with a focus on research), so graduatiing was a major step for him!

We have two wee pugs that we're absolutely in love with, so pretty much anything I make for him has pugs incorporated in it.  You could imagine the carnage if they found out they weren't included!

I used some fabric for my dress and his shirt and pants, felt for the grass, our hair and the wee ones, and yarn for our arms and my legs.  I used marker for the sky.  I spray-mounted them onto the card, as it sticks so much faster (and I made the card the day he graduated...naughty!).

i know, it's hardly a graduation card, he's not wearing a cap or holding his diploma, but we both think that's kinda corny and love to "keep things real" and shtuff like that... Grin

I can tell you, Fall is composed of

1 part dead fish smell
1 part wet leaves
1 part arctic chilled air (not winter chilled variety)
2 parts crunchy walking
a pinch very cold rain
some apples you picked yourself
a few very still moments
a good deal of inner reflection

thanks!  in reality, my hubby is way taller than that (or am I much shorter?...) but there wasn't enough card...my hubby loved it, so I'm very happy!
