Pinup mini stationary set

This is another stationary set that I made for a swap. It is very small, about 3x4 inches and Pinup themed. The sets includes the mini envelopes, matching sheets, heart stickers and pinup buttons:

Thanks for the comments! Yes, I did them in the computer and printed them with the normal color printer.

TheRehn - too sad that you forgot to take pics of your stationary, I would love to see it! maybe I can see it later in the gallery when it is received

And I'm curious...I've been trying to figure out how to fade pictures like that to print on stationary. The whole process is lost on me! Any tips?

from your printers menu go to preferences --->advanced---> change the saturation to muted, the ink volume to lite and the dry time to less. theres usually a preview window with a sample picture so you can understand how these settings will affect your picture. when you're done go back in and click the factory settingsbutton so that your next print wont be all fadey.

I also do this on the library copyer when I want to copy a picture. just by moving the saturation down a bit you can almost gaurentee you won't end up with just a black blob. but for courtesy you should move the settings back after your done on the library copyer.

I got the images from a pinup images CD that I bought some time ago.

-TheRenn: I saw your stationary and it is sooo cool too, I love it!!! love the colors and the design, you did a great job!  Handmade stationary is really cool and the possibilities are endless.

- Mangospanker: thank you for the printing settings tip! I did not think about changing the printer settings, I need to try your tip next time 

- OhDarling: Thanks for the nice comments! you do wonderful things too, I love the journal and belt that you made me!   And to answer your question: another method (the one I used here) for doing the pictures washed out is with a photo Program. I used photoshop but can be done with many other photo editing programms. I had the image in the background layer and in photoshop I added a new layer on top of it. Then I painted the new layer in white and gave it a transparency of 60%, this will make your background image to look at only 40% of the total saturation. I hope it is clear, I am not too good at explaining things in other languages but sounds more complicated than it really is, is pretty easy.

WOW! How do you actually print onto small peices of paper and envelopes.
I have tried before but it never works
