I am making long arm warmers and needed to put the stitches on stitch holders so I can make the other one before I do the thumb gussets.  I am stitch holder-less and just used some big paper clips!  They work great, are portable, cheap and re-usable!

I just use a length of waste cotton yarn, almost always..  Doesn't get much cheaper than that.

There will also be cocktail sauce.  -- Smoove B

I once got a packet of assorted safety pins (some were HUGE) at the dollar store and have been happily been using them ever since (when I'm not leaving things on every length of Denise cord I own).
