It depends on the weight. I just sent a 6" x 4" trinket box containing some candy, a flat magnet, and a small remnant of fake fur to Germany for $8. You can always have to PO weigh it before you seal it and take out the heavier things if it's too much.

Buutt. i was wondering sending food stuffs is that gonna be a porbelm? cos i saw it on the post office site and got worried?! x

I think it depends on who is checking it - some packages on the tea swap got opened and then sent on - I got a package from Austria with tea - still waiting on my tea to get to her. I think as long as you fully declare everthing that it should be fine.

I think it's mainly an issue with fresh produce, and I doubt if anyone is sending any of that. The usual tea and choccies should be just fine.

is it weird that i'd want a vhs of commercials? not that i'm in advertising or anything, i just think it'd be interesting to see how other products are marketed over seas  Tongue haha, i keep thinking of more stuff i wanna add to my wishlist, mainly stuff that i'd be interested in sending out, so i'd love to receive it as well.

Be careful with video.
It's a different system and can be a pain to transfer from PAL to NTSC or vice versa. It can be done but it's a bit spendy and may compromise the quality, so I'd only do it with something you really want. Other than that, nope, not weird!
