Hi.  Just wanted to share my mosaic mailbox.  DH had brought home a load of cinderblocks that were free and they sat around the yard for a while.  Seeing that he was going to do nothing with them I built a structure to protect the mailbox from the inevitable baseball bat then mosiced the whole thing.  The first couple of weeks it was up it stopped traffic.  We'd be sitting at the kitchen table and watch the people stop to look at it.  Made me feel great.

Thanks!  After rereading my post I sound a bit "full of myself"  Tongue  Opps, didn't mean to come across that way.

you SHOULD be full of yourself!  It's gorgeous!

Not that I thought you sounded full of yourself, but I sure wouldn't blame you if you did.

And hoping for an early death you swam so far you lost your breath, and struggling in the ebb and flow I took your hand, but you let go...
And now the ocean fills your lungs, and now you've got what you had come for, resting peaceful as you sink to drown under a sea of strangers.

Great job - I have thought about trying something like this - right now we have a broken mailbox which they have left alone - no fun to break a broken mailbox  Undecided

has everyone left your mosaic alone?  how did you fit the mailbox in?
Sorry for all the questions but just wondering?

My other idea is surround the mailbox with railroad ties - I like your idea better, it's much prettier. I live out in the country and it's dark by the mailbox - may need to stick a light out there....
