That sounds like an excellent idea, I always feel bad about throwing my christmas cards away!

Me too. Someone else suggested saving the covers to make the following year's cards out of, but I didn't like that idea either. I'm not overly religious, but the cards from my relatives are, so this way I can still include their cards but not all of the religious wording.

Arrogant Worms and Great Big Sea - you have GREAT taste in music as well as scrapbooking!  I especially like that puzzle idea.

It's not that I don't want to swap, it's that I often don't have time.  But feel free to ask (especially if it's one that's not too time consuming).

I read the words 'I completed 58 pages' and my jaw fell clear down to the basement.

FIFTY-EIGHT PAGES?! I would go scrap by candlelight if I could concentrate enough to make 58 pages!!!

WOW!

(Love the X-Mas card page - that's really cute!)

BUT really? FIFTY-EIGHT?! Wow!

Yep. 58 pages over the three day weekend...but I was at a place where I didn't even have reliable cell phone service to talk to my boyfriend or wireless for my laptop, so really all there was to do WAS to scrapbook.

Also, I've been told by a few people who've witnessed me scrapbook, that even when I don't have an idea in mind when I sit down to make a page, I create a page quickly.

So, my suggestion if you want to get a lot of pages done on a weekend is to remove yourself from all "distractions" - my only distraction was my iPod, and I brought along a book that I was only going to read if I ran out of things to crop, or if I couldn't fall asleep.  I packed all pajamas/lounge pants to wear around and brought enough for cold or warm - shorts and t-shirts, a pair of sweat pants, and a sweatshirt. when my chair started to bother my butt, I either scrapbooked standing up, or put a pillow or blanket on my chair to cushion my butt or back.

Hehehe. Thanks for the tips.

I usually scrap late at night, until I get tired but it takes me sometimes a couple of hours to finish a page.

I think I'm just going to have to break down and rent a cheap motel room and scrap nonstop for a few days. Its be relaxing... .hopefully.

And you're so right about the distraction things. I need atleast a tv going in the background - so I usually have it turned to the simpsons, because I've seen them so much, I don't need to watch. I can just listen. But if I have a phone with me, or the computer hooked up to the internet near by (mine is not - my mom's home computer is) or whatever then it just takes an eternity.

Good thinking about the comfy clothes.

I think I get more work done late at night than during the day Smiley  I have the TV on all the time for background noise, but I can't even clean my house without turning off and hiding my laptop!

A hotel room's not a bad idea - just make sure it's got a desk or you'll be scrapbooking on the bed!  I've also gone to the local library for afew hours with minimal supplies and taken over a table in the Children's section (where they do arts and crafts). I actually had a few moms stop and tell me that that was an excellent idea -- I was there because I was visiting my friend who worked at the library and I needed something to do while he worked.

Great pages!  I love them!  I especially love the Christmas card idea.  I usually save the fronts of all my cards to make new ones or I donate them to my daugther's preschool.  I love this idea though!  I think I will try it this year for sure.

Thanks!

I thought about re-using them to make new cards too, but I liked doing this better!
