Details of swap: Okay, so, this swap is to show how much you love scenery and aspects of world culture. From landscapes to monuments, to icons to languages, here's how you can show how much you love diversity, and how you can celebrate your heritages through crafting!
I am giving everyone a LOOOONG time to craft (needed to emphasize that), and I am going to be very into the communication bit. Now that I have a new DSL connection, I'll be online very frequently. You can email be directly if you need to at
esmerelda.ciao@gmail.com. Please, send me a DC number for you US folks, and scan receipts or give reciept numbers for international. I have previously organized, well, co-organized a CD swap, but this time, I'm on my own, and I shall be stricter for myself and for everyone else.
You are expected to craft at least one big item, and at least up to 2 or 3 smaller items - whether medium or small, or you can stuff the package with a number of goodies! Be like me and question like a crazy person about prefrence and likes. Some of the items such as souvenirs, fabric, postcards and costumes
can be bought.
Examples of big items include:Any Type of Clothing (Scarves, Shirts, Skirts, Jackets, Boleros/Shrugs,
Costumes , Stencilled Stuff etc.) eg. I [heart] Paris! (or write it in French!)
Bags (Knitted, Crocheted, Stencilled etc.) eg. Scenes of Landmarks, Sayings etc.
Cushions (Beaded, Stencilled, Embroidered etc.) eg. Scenes of Landmarks, Monuments etc.
Examples of medium items include:Pencil Cases
Pouches
Wallets
Jewellry
Stuffed Animals/Plushies
etc.
Examples of small items include:Magnets
Postcards
Pins
Little Souvenirs
etc.
The items can show any aspect of the country/countries, whether it be a physical, cultural or lingual aspect of the country. Remember, not all wants can be met by your partner, but compromise is key in times like that. Remember, don't send anything TOO expensive, and package your items securely and properly, and wrap fragile things well.
