Hey gang, it's been a while since I've posted so I thought I'd check in. This is a cute little guy who measures 3.5" long and about half an inch to one inch across. It's a pin, made out of wool felt and I just adore him.

The pattern was the hardest part because I really wrestled with accuracy versus feasibility. (cutting out 8 legs is a MAJOR pain in the ass) So this is what I settled on.

LONG LIVE THE SQUID!!

PS- And for those of you who just can't get enough sea life, here are some octopi that I did for a friend of mine (they're not too clean in the picture, but you get the idea). Can you ever have enough cephladpods really??

Nope, they are tiny french knots.  I have a funny story on the sucker cups. I made a bunch of these last night and was laying the felt on my leg and sticking the needle in to make the knots. After about 10 times I finally got it through my thick skull to USE A FRICKIN' PILLOW when I made the knots. My leg is still throbbing... duh...
