Fancied up dollar store journals

Today was craft day with my neighbors granddaughter a tradition for us.

So we went an bought these cute little spiral journals from the dollar store, some scrapbooking paper, some stones we had for another project and fake flower, also glitter glue from other projects.


I think all together we probably spent $3.00 total on both...excluding mod podge and hot glue but for a quick craft they turned out fairly well,,and she was thrilled about it.

Oohh pretty! I love the blue one.. I've mod'd a few dollar store journals with slide on felt covers..

Those are great! I can't believe you guys even cut into the paper to fit it between the spirals. Wasn't that a huge pain?

lol yes it was a pain to cut....weve since decided that we are now going to buy non spirals only!

They turned out great.  I especially love the fact this little girl will have some pretty cool memories, that you take the time to spend with a little friend.  What a wonderful place the world would be we all had someone cool to show us neat stuff like crafting.  I firmly believe crafts can help with self esteem, resourcefullness (ever see a crafty person stumped--never!), a can-do attitude and some of the people here have stated that crafts had seen them through some rough times.  What a gift!
