i found a box of these tiles at a thrift store- they sort of remind me of mah jong tiles, but with playing card images- i have no idea how one would play a game with them, so i'm making jewelry instead.

one side has the "1" of hearts, and on the other i decoupaged a tarot card of cupid.

the rest is copper, silver, garnets, amethysts, moonstone, and czech glass.

That is gorgeous!  I have some very strict rules about the jewelry I wear (regarding funkiness and uniqueness) and I would totally wear this!  Congrats on the awesome find.

the name of the card is 'the lovers'.

very beautiful. that seems to be a very old card.

i knew my random tarot knowledge would come in handy some point in my life.  Cheesy

the tile is just under 1" x 1.5".  the tarot image is actually a reproduction from some wrapping paper...i have more of both so i'll be adding some to my shop to sell.

o/t but re:tarot cards, this world spirit deck is my all-time very favorite tarot ever.  there are no reversed meanings, just positive takes on all manner of spiritually/culturally diverse perspectives.  and the artwork is gorgeous- it took the artist 7 years to complete all the linograph carvings for each image.  wow.
