I used the checkerboard sweater pattern from www.craftyarncounci l.com for the basic shape and adapted their pattern for the gauge of my yarn.  The stripes I basically made up.  The sleeves were unplanned actually, because I was working on the first one and realized I wouldn't have enough pink to do both of them in solid pink, so i decided to save them by makin them striped  Cheesy
