I've been hacking up two pairs of corduroys for pillows and had the very top part of the trousers (with the zipper and the back pockets left). I promptly stared at this scrap of material for a day or two before I found it's purpose. I present unto you, moi's marvie sewing/crafting apron:


I took some step-by-step photos if anyone's interested in greater details. Smiley

That is a new idea instead of turning the bottoms into a purse. Tongue
I know that my mother would love having an apron like that. Especially for yard sale change.... Grin

I'm actually thinking of making a second one, using leftover purple corduroy with very thick lines. Purple's my fav color, and I originally intended to make this one as a test and then make the purple one for myself...but now I'm kinda attached to the blue one!

Anyway, I'm starting on the second one later this week; I may hand it off to a crafty friend or hang onto it for swaps.
