I'm a reasonably proficient knitter/crocheter looking for a "sew-er"--anyone out there interested in swapping a small/medium item with me? I'd love knitting accessories like a needle roll or bag (you really can never have too many), and in return I can make any number of knit/crocheted accessories (my FO gallery: http://crochety.blogspot.com/2004/07/finished-projects-gallery.html) I just can't commit to the time to make any large items this month (i.e. no sweaters...  Undecided ) and wanted to test the waters before signing up.

Here are the things I would love to get.
Tall socks/thigh highs http://knitty.com/ISSUEwinter04/PATTverytallsocks.html  in just black.
Something like these http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=73251.0;topicseen
or this! http://knitty.com/ISSUEsummer04/PATTpetitchou.html
I really adore anything knitted so I am sure that I can add things to this list.

I can make knitting roll cases! I actually wrote in my form that that is one of my favourite things to make!
Pajama Pants are fun too and I always have a huge stash of fantastic flannettes! Ghosts, chickens and eggs, plaid!
I like making bags too!. I will post some of my finished objects! and put links here!
I am really terrible at working with funfur/slippery materials (might as well be honest!)

I signed up! I sew and would love to get paired with a knitter (and some socks if at all possible).

Here is what I put for what I can make:
Quote
Items I would like to make: Bags, wallets, cozies, small pet accessories (fleece lined cubes to hang from rat or ferret house)needle rolls, stuffies, could do skirts if I get the following measurements (waist [where they like the skirt to sit], hip, distance between waist & hip, length preference)

I have a few projects on the master tutorial list in the Purses & Bags section. I'm in the middle of changing my site to a blog but a few project pics are here http://sewpixie.tinfoildreams.com.

Swaps are so addicting!

I have have HAVE to do this.  You can see types of sewing stuff I can make in my "ongiong stuff I can make" list: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=67486.100 I am good but not fabulous, I have lots to learn...

I can do hipslingers and bags, and stuffies, and other stuff, I am sure I could definetly make a needle roll, although I never have before!

I wouild be willing to swap for knit or crochet, Synne--maybe I could swap for an assortment of little crocheted flowers?  I love those things Smiley

Some other stuff I love:
http://www.berroco.com/exclusives/beatrice/beatrice.html --Crochet
http://www.berroco.com/exclusives/maple/maple.html--Crochet
http://knitty.com/ISSUEwinter05/PATTbobblicious.html-Knit
http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring05/PATTcleaves.html-Knit

And there's so  much more I love... I've been bookmarking knitting and crochet patterns forever, even though I don't know how (I'm learning to knit though, yay!  Grin)

Larger items I can always make a bag with matching wallet and makeup-case, or a tiered-skirt, ummm, just ask...

Ok, going to send my info to PinkMafia!  This sounds like fun!  Pink Mafia, is it possible to swap with more than one person?  Just a random question...

Not exactly but if you find someone you want to swap with its ok. Its more advertising of what you want so that I can get a good idea of who wants what and who can make what. Feel free to pair up though, its less guessing for me!

I'm a sewer and wouldn't mind getting paired with a knitter or hooker. I'd love a sweater, or even some type of pretty cami, and would make a bunch of sewn things, whatever is fair.  Grin Or, I'd love some socks or a knit/crochet or felted purse. I also love these:

oo, this is all sounding so good! well, im with tajer and some others, im a beginner knitter, but ive stretched out beyond my comfort zone in a shirt already! (1 month in Tongue) im half way done and its still looking ok Cheesy there are some pretty awesome knitters on here, but if someone doesnt mind something pretty simple i could totally do it!
like the skully, i have that book (its what im learning from Wink) and i think i could do it! or a pair of simple legwarmers, ie.. cabled ones would probably be out :s schools starting and thats alot of stress Tongue im not sure if i should try complete socks yet though...they kind of scare me and i think ill mess up.
i said in my questionaire that i wanted a sewer partner, but i was thinking, crochet would be pretty sweet too, caus they can make net bags and stuff right? (im thinking vegetable bag Tongue)
anyhow! im excited! i cant remember the name of the person who wanted a skully or the person who wanted leg warmers, but i would love to try!
