I tried my hand at it too - they're not nearly as nice though.  And I apologize for the bluriness in the photos, try as I might, I can't get the auto focus off.  I went with a video game theme, and found some rhinestones to add too.  The whole thing is covered with layer upon layer of decoupage, just as in the original.  I would recommend that if you make them yourself, walk around the house in them between layers of decoupage.  Mine are terribly stiff now, and have a tendency to cause blisters if worn for too long - but are well worth the pain Wink

So I had to try this out and didn't use a clear pair of shoes, plus I left the top alone...maybe I should cover it too, but since the tops not very hard like the bottom of the shoes I wasn't sure if it would wrinkle or stuff when I walked. But for now I still like them, and will do another pair when I get the RIGHT pair of shoe. I just used a favorite pair that are all scuffed up where I could cover them...jsut to try it out. But they didn't come out too bad. I also used triple thick glass glaze to cover them and protect them from any weather or water that I may come across. Here they are...thanks for the inspiration
