Ok, guy hat:
 S (M/L) [Width 12.5" (13.75/15").]

Girl hat:
S (M/L) [Width 11.25" (12.5/13.75)]

You should double the width to get the circumference

I already have three of the women's version of your hat to make!  I drooled over the Paco, but alas, have very little extra money.   I swatched up some lamb's pride worsted on us 9's and got the gauge, so that's what i'll be using.  i have plenty in my stashie-stash.  I think the look will be a little different, but still gorgeous.  I've always wanted to knit a marnie creation!  hooray!

You did indeed! As I said in my blog, it looks really great.
I wish we could see it on your noggin, though Smiley

melidomi,
I just love the color.
It looks really cute. Is that a rolled brim instead of a seed stitch band? It's really cool to see how other people interpret patterns Smiley

I've recommended to other people, and you might like to know as well, that blocking the piece will really help the eyelets show to full effect.
