Exciting news! My swap treasure has arrived from
jan_on_ice.
I already knew she was a great swapper and of course she did not disappoint!

Look at this great stuff!
This is a felt needle book. Am I the only person in the world who doesn't have one?
Until now! Now all of the needles that had been lurking in my craft stash (and stabbing me under the nails @#$#%&^&@!#$@!!!

) have a safe place to stay. It looks like a fairytale story book doesn't it? It's a spellbook/needle book.
Each felt page is decorated with dragon's scales, snakes tongue and other magical ingredients. The way it closes is ingenious too. the felt tongue goes under the felt loop, just like a leatherbound book, but in felt!
The next item is a Wyrd Sisters clock - hand drawn! I'm pretty sure
jan_on_ice drew this herself. She's
that talented.
Now, jan_on_ice didn't know anything about Terry Pratchett's comedy/fantasy books or the three witches who star in his book Wyrd Sisters, but she went for it - and did a great job! It's hard to visualise something that is in books, and never illustrated.
Another thing I needed was a knitting needle roll to store my knitting needles. Here are my knitting needles (ok, only
some) looking very at home in their new roll.
"What's so fantasy about that?" you may think. Well look at this amazing fairytale fabric!
I loved it!!!

look at the little cottage, the acorns and the toadstools! I love toadstools! I Love oak trees! I love cottages! This fabric is totally me!
You can never have too many keyrings. Especially when they're as useful and handsome as this one!
Its Westley from The Princess Bride. Only my favourite fantasy movie EVER! (well, Lord of the Rings might have budged it over a little). And even better, look what's inside:
A great Princess Bride quote. The keyring is a tin you can store things in! How great is that?
But wait! There's more! More Princess Bride loot! You too can have a Westley of your own with this black fabric mask!
As
jan_on_ice points out in her letter - guys are sexier with masks on! I love this! It was the funniest thing, when I opened it I knew exactly what it was and I couldn't stop laughing! I never would have thought of such a thing! It's like having a piece of Westley for myself! *sigh*

Now to find a man to wear the mask...

And now a new theme. I'm pretty sure I never mentioned Harry Potter in any of my swap info, but I've probably mentioned that I've read the books (up to Order of the Phoenix) and have friends who are HP
mad.
It's a self-inking quill! It's really comfortable to write with and look at the gorgeous tag on it. It's got beautiful font and aged with tea or coffee. Excellent presentation!
With it came this Gryffindor zipped pouch. I really like the ribbon handle idea.

And inside this cute pouch ...
SWEETIES!!!! Puking Pastilles, Fever Fudge & Ton Tongue Toffee! If you've read the books you know what I'm talking about. If not lets just say, they are magical sweets that the Weasley twins invented to get you out of classes! (Well except for Ton Tongue Toffee - that's more of a revenge item) Sorry I don't really show the sweets themselves, but I was more focussed on the beautiful tags.
Needless to say the sweets are all GONE now. The toffees had melted into one huge multi-flavoured toffee gobstopper... but it was still good! Mmm mmm.

And as well...
A catalogue for more items from the Weasley twins' shop - Weasleys' Wizarding Wheezes! It looks fantastic!
Here's a close up because
jan_on_ice went to so much trouble to make it look magical. Beautiful fonts and aging with tea or coffee.
I am one lucky swapper! Now I have swappers anxiety again! I hope jan_on_ice likes her stuff as much!
P.S. Thank goodness I know from experience to save a copy of my image heavy posts as word documents before I press "send"! Craftster always crashes just as I finish a wordy, image heavy post and press "enter"!!!!
