Is it me, or is it really hard for some people to read on this site?
At least once a day I see someone putting their posts on the wrong board, even if it is clearly explained.

ex.

stenciled and/or reconned shirts in the Clothing Completed Projects General board

misc. questions on COMPLETED PROJECTS boards

i always feel like a bitch when i think about this, but it really really annoys me
oy vey
am i just a little too sensitive? Roll Eyes

The mods try hard to go through all the posts and put them in their proper places.

i always feel like such a b-i-t-c-h for pointing this out to people but it bugs me too. i think crafters need to start reading the descriptions of the boards better. if leah's gone to the trouble to organize the board so nicely the least people can do is post properly. ok, now i sound like a b-i-t-c-h   Undecided

Doesn't really bother me at all, unless it is extremely out of place (ex. recipe in the knitting section), but even then it doesn't bother me.

Like krazigal said, we try our best to catch the mistakes and fix them. I personally feel that all of the areas are well kept. I think a lot are made by the newer members who don't realize each forum has a subsection for designated things too.
At craftster we like to promote friendliness and people helping each other, so maybe instead of "feeling like a bitch" feel like you're helping someone learn their way around the board  Cheesy

i don't think it's an issue with mods at all. you guys do a great job! it always seems to be just a newbie mistake but i'm just a picky person. no offense to anyone.

i agree. i'm just anal. misplaced posts are something that's gonna piss me off seriously, just something i see and think, grrr, that's the wrong spot!

ha, so I'm not alone...

I really think that there's just a problem with people not thinking before they post. It seems like they almost just dont read the groupings. The ridiculous posting misplacings only annoy me if they happen constantly, silly misposters.

And don't forget that people are allowed to move topics they themselves have posted if they figure out they've posted in the wrong area! Smiley Also, the "report to moderator" lets you tell a mod that it needs to be moved.

Good points Leah!  Cheesy

I often do find that it's fairly newer members, that just don't understand the entire concept yet.  Usually I get a very nice, apologetic PM, in response to my moving a thread to it's correct board.

It really is in the member's best interest to post on the right board, as they will most likely get more replies Wink
