For anyone who's interested in steeking, I've been working on a VERY in-depth exploration of the Fair Isle steek for the past few days.  Subjects include why and when to steek, choosing the most appropriate method for your fiber, setting the different types up, handling decreases, handling color changes, and finally, photo instructions for working and cutting a traditional (unreinforced) steek, a hand-sewn steek, and a crocheted steek.
