That's very cool.

So, I go to Stanford... does this person still work at the place where one can get lots of free books for art?

Cuz like... whoa.

Stop worrying about how wonderful those books were that you can't read!  I recognize that kind of binding and due to the standardized size of those books they were bound journals.  Those have been replaced by online versions.  So really, don't fret.

Standardized size...  I just lost a lot of respect for this project.  Not that it isn't majorly cool and everything.  But I was envisioning having to fit differently-sized books together, like ancient stonework or something.

Most texts are a standard size. Some may not be quite the same, but they'd be within an inch.

Funny how it feels when there's nothing to say...

That's wicked...but what does it mean "threaded paper between the books"?  Huh

Happiness can be found in the darkest of times...if one only remembers to turn on the lights.

You can lead a heart to love, but you can't make it fall.

Would it be ok to ask you to post more detailed pictures showing the threading process?  I have never heard of this before and it intrigues me.

This is ridiculously awesome. I have a question though that has absolutely nothing to do with the bar...In the process pictures one of the captions said "I don't care! I'd rather drown in books than call Brad for help!" What comic is that parodied from? Because I have a shirt that has images and captions from that comic all over it (and that's one of the captions--except it says "sink" instead of "drown in books") like a collage and I always wondered what it was...
