my first swap recepient is getting these geisha themed items. i ironed the images onto an old scrap of white fabric, then cut them out and used them like appliques.



the bottom left thing is a card wallet in case anyone is wondering, and it's just a laminated colour copy-- not iron on.

hopefully she likes the stuff!

application involved cutting around the picture on the fabric, then using a tight zigzag stitch and sewing around it a few times. i also applied the pictures BEFORE constructing the pouches. this is key.  Wink
