Wow! That's really cool. I would LIVE in the bathroom if it looked like that!

I wanted to ask: I once tried framed albums in my kitchen but the moist air ruined them. Did you laminate them first, or is it just a matter of choosing the right kind of frame?

Whoa! Me likey. I have a Hawaiian themed bathroom too, with leis and vintage-style postcards. Nowhere near as elaborate, though. I was actually contemplating adding a grass skirt to the top area above my shower curtain (my ceiling is wierd), but I was concerned about mold and such. I'm still debating on it. Does your shower curtain have any problems with the moisture in the bathroom? Did you coat it with anything to prevent it from getting destroyed? Hmm. Maybe I'll just have to give up my long showers. lol

This is a very decadent bathroom. I especially like the shelves. Well done!

i think we're just blessed with a bathroom with a good ventilation system since we haven't had a big problem with moisture and condensation in there for the entire time we've been here.  now that has been for only 6 months and the wall with the albums and such was all just finished a few days ago.  still, we've had the shower curtain and paper lanterns up for a while and nothing's even gotten the least bit moldy.  as for the shower curtain, it was designed as a shower curtain, i did not have to tweak it at all, so i figure it must have been coated or something.  i just put it up with a clear liner behind it and it was good to go (thanks ebay!).

The transformation looks amazing. Great idea for a bathroom. Beats sea shells hands down!

Wow. That looks fantastic! I desperately need to do something to our bathrooms. They're so plain right now. You have inspired me.
