The Knitting Olympics

I'm giving it a go!  I'll be attempting Knitty's Honeymoon camisole with Bamboo yarn.

I'm a little nervous because I ordered the yarn (through my LYS) two weeks ago and it hasn't come in.  I've never used this yarn before so swatching is going to be important!  If it doesn't work, I'll need time to find something else.

I just signed up, I'm knitting my very first garment, a sweater for my puppy Gucci!!

Okay,  I finally decided on a project that will be a real challenge with lots of new techniques and a real time cruncher:  the Stonington Shawl from the Meg Swanson book.  Took a lot of stash searching to find yarn and needles to make this shawl.  It looks like a good way to try out the making of a shetland shawl, but I will be using larger yarn to make the "making" of it easier on me!

I will be joining the Team USA since there did not seem to be a Team Texas.  If anyone knows of one, please let me know!

I joined and as far as I can tell besides myself and another girl from my knitting group, we are the only competitors of Team Costa Rica.  So it should much like the real Olympics with only a handful of ticos there.
