I have a sneaking suspicion it's something to do with the bobbin.
once in a while as I'm whirring along, I'll feel/hear a little "chunk"  IF I hear it loudly and often, and at the beginning.. .it's a mess down below.

But recently, when I've come to the end of the seam, backstitched and lifted my fabric, there are *THREE* threads to cut... and then I have to pick the third out from below.

Eh.. I'll sort it out.
The tension seems to be okay.  I wonder if the bobbin gets wound looser/tighter at times?  If I wind the bobbin with varying speeds.. does that mess it up?
