I work out at Curves, and I read about a possible craft opportunity in the latest quarterly magazine.  They showed a woman displaying a qulit made from squares of old blue jeans, donated by Curves members who lost weight and bought smaller jeans.  This woman's group, Heritage Quilters of Wallingford (Connecticut), makes quilts for The Children's Home in Cromwell, CT.  They include pockets on some of the squares and tuck gifts like Beanie Babies, new socks, etc. and then give them to abused/neglected kids.

I saw nothing on that site about demin, quilting, etc. It was just a Christian missionary type site asking for money. Even their wish list link is down. Are you sure you posted the right link?

Heritage Quilters is the group that makes the quilts.  Here is a link to the quilt guild that they are a part of:


The finalized quilts go to neglected/abused kids staying at The Children's Home, which is linked above.
