i know i may sound ridiculously naive but can i just ask where one might wear pasties and do you really intend to wear these somewhere?

I've seen people wear pasties at the beach, too. Good for minimizing tan lines. But of course the sequined ones are best worn when putting on a show, public or private.

Here's a tip for getting them to stick. Go to a wig shop and buy some toupee tape. It sticks wonderfully to skin, and a whole lot easier to apply than the aformentioned ideas.
Also good for strapless tops or any item of clothing you want to stay in place.

Oh man, rock on, grrloutloud! I didn't know there was a burlesque troupe in Burlington! Gotta do something to keep warm up there, eh? Cheesy

I did a piece a few years back for a postmodern burlesque put on by an arty group called DeCorps in Chicago (I am unsure whether they are still doing shows or not), and had such a blast. You're making me miss it like whoa.

And hug-n-bugs - sin't that all the more reason to make them? Cheesy

I am now unlocking this topic.  please keep the discussion on the topic of the craft.  this is not the place to discuss moderators/their actions or if "adult" topics should be allowed.  if you have these concerns please pm a moderator (such as me) or post about it in the "Questions & Discussion about Craftster: Craftster Itself" section.  thank you.

We're informal...there's a big cabaret yearly but they're not so into the DIY, mst of their stuff is store bought.  We're like the underground DIY group and much more heavily burlesque than cabaret....because it's all about what you can put together with your own two hands.  (as we all know)

1) Your tattoo makes me green....*covet*

2) Burlington's not really big enough to have a wig shop (that I know of) but I'll bet that I can find some online.  How does it come off?

Two burlesques ago the girls were all using duct tape and were almost in tears getting it off...except me...because I had a breast reduction long story, no sensation...and this past burlesque I made these and used eyelash glue to keep them on.  I wasn't really sure how much I needed so I think I went a little overboard trying to make sure that they didn't fly off and land in someone's drink.  Getting it off was a pain because I had left my makeup remover in the car and it had frozen solid.  Ah Vermont in the winter.
