I just wanted to share one of my latest patterns, a romantic valentine's day scarf.

I've printed the pattern and packaged it especially as a contribution to the Sampler.  http://www.homeofthesampler.com/index.html  There will be about one hundred of this pattern going out to Marie today, because the Sampler rocks.  I'm super glad that I've finally got a way to contribute to it.

I really like this.  Where do they sell this magazine?  Is your project in the Feb. issue?  I don't want to miss it.

The sampler isnt a magazine, its a sort of wholesale gift box? Basically, a bunch of companies send in so much of their merchandise. People sign up and give a donation to recieve the sampler, and they get samples (hence the name) from some of the companies. Its a good way for them to get the word out about their company, and you get some cool stuff.

That's exactly what The Sampler is.  I'm not sure if I'll include actual printed patterns as contributions anymore because it was more of a strain on my printer than I had guessed.  The thing about the Sampler is that you won't automatically get one of everthing that is contributed.  It's a selection of things, so even if you got a subscription, you wouldn't be guaranteed one of my pattern.

It's not exclusive to the Sampler, but I'm also not planning on posting it for free anywhere, because that kind of negates the idea of contributing a sample.  Let me figure out exactly what else I'll be doing with the pattern, and I'll let you know.

Thanks all for your kind words!  It is a simple design, I wanted to go for a simple kind of elegant romance, but I think the pearls class it up considerably.  It's laceweight Alpaca Cloud from KnitPicks.  The color is Peppermint.  I'm so in love with KnitPicks.
