How is everyone doing on this one?  I'm crafting away!  The problem is that now I want to keep some of the stuff I'm making!!LOL  I guess I need to make doubles.  I'm also trying some new stuff.

Are you learning out of a book or from someone?  I learned out of a book and thought it was pretty easy.  Now, knitting, I just can't do two needles!

Instructions.  Book is on its way, I can easily chain crochet, joining gets a little trickier.  Managed to do it though, I can't knit.  My tension goes screwy on my 5th cast-on stitch.

I'm teaching myself to knit...won't be good enough for this swap, though.... *sigh* it keeps widening on me after I do a few rows.

yeah, i couldn't quite get the hang of knitting, either. crochet all the say. ^_^

I did just learn to use my grandma's sewing machine, though.  I'm so proud.

i can knit, but i cant even pearl, but last week i realized i can knit left and right handed, so i dont have to turn the wool!

that happend to me when i started knitting, i realized my tension was off, so i had loose stitches at the ends on my rows, which though they looked like 2, they were only really 1, so i was adding an extra stitch to every row!
no knitting in this swap though!

My friend just learned how to knit (another friend taught her) and she started out with 25 stitches.  About every 3rd or 4th row, she would count them and she'd have 28, 30, 23, etc.  It was so funny!!  Her scarf had a weird edge to it!LOL
