I received, but I haven't seen the package yet. I'm in a very wee town, in a coffee shop that just got wireless yesterday. I've been doing field work since Thursday. I'll be home late-ish tonight and will report as to what is in it, and if it is the first package, or a first+second. My boy says the return address is at least somewhere near my undergraduate stomping grounds, in North Dakota, so I think that is neat. Anyway, everyone has received lovely things so far! I'm so excited to get home and open my package! Depending on how late it is, I might not get photos up until tomorrow.

that rose purse is awesome. i love seeing how much time and detail is going into everyone's swap items. you can really tell that everyone wants to make their partner happy and really cares about what they are producing. thanks and props to everyone!!

I'm home after 8 hours in the car. These photos aren't the best, because it is dark and I am very tired, but I got my first package in the mail this weekend.

It's an extremely soft needle roll with super cute wee buttons on it. The inside is polka dots and a funky batik-y material. I don't know if somehow my FOC found my very scant wedding blog, but the colors are very nearly spot on the colors I'm using for my wedding. They happen to be one of my favorite color combinations, so if it was a guess, it was a great one! And the package's return address is not very far from where I went to undergrad, which is neat! Thank you very much Secret Swapper!

I did indeed. 10 hours straight sleepin! I love going out in the field, but it gets really tiring. 3 of us measured 4 buildings, inside and out, including outbuildings and site plans, in three days. Met some really great people who were kind enough to let us into their homes.

Now I can start rounding up the knitting needles and putting them away!

The pocket on the apron says "I <3 sushi". Isn't it so cute! And if that wasn't enough, look at the beautiful little tea set my FOC made. Here's a better shot of that:



I am loving it. I will have to find somewhere to display this set. It's too nice to be stuck away in a cupboard somewhere! FOC even included some tea for me to try. It smells delicious. And it's cold here; I could use some hot tea.

Thank you so much secret FOC! This was a great package to open today. Made my Monday much better!
