so heres the story: my sister and i finished off the last of our home made rice krispie squares, and just had to make a new batch. we melted up the marshmallows, reached into the cabinet for the rice krispies and there were none. we only had cheerios, and we ruled that out, cause it would be really, really gross. so my sister told me to find a recipie that uses melted marshmallows on the internet before the marshmallow hardened and got disgusting. the only thing i could find was popcorn balls, held together with melted marshmallows. sounds gross, right? well, we tried it out, and surprisingly, it was good. to us, at least. we also added chocolate chips. here's the recipie:

3 tbsp butter/margarine
1 package of popped popcorn
handful of chocolate chips
4 cups of marshmallows

1) melt the butter and marshmallows together on high for 3 minutes in the microwave, stirring after 2 minutes.

2) spoon it out over the popcorn. this is gross looking, but good tasting.

3) mix it together with your hands. also a sticky and pretty gross step.

4) sprinkle the chocolate chips over mixture.

if anybody dares to try this, tell me how it turns out! or, if anybody has done it before, that would be cool too. id like to see if im not the only crazy one who likes the taste of marshmallows and popcorn  Cheesy

Popcorn balls rock!!

A relative of mine often made rice krispees out of cheerios and they ended up a bit soggy--so good choice on not doing that. Smiley

Jolly Time (Or one of those micro popcorn companies) makes a "mallow magic" popcorn that includes some marshmallow stuff to pour over your popcorn--so apparently you aren't the only one that has this craving Smiley

I like to add diced dried fruit to these.   My mom used to make a similar thing with popcorn or puffed rice cereal, margarine, marshmellow, a spoonfull of peanut butter (melted witht eh marshmellow & margarine) some rasins & chopped dried appricots.
It's a good way to get fruit into picky eaters too
